Standard eReaders - eInk

Black & white (eInk) eReaders must be transferred to from the computer, as they do not use apps like a tablet. Popular compatible eReaders include the Nook or Kobo. The only black & white eReader that is not compatible with these systems is the Kindle (like Paperwhite).

eBooks - wide variety of fiction & nonfiction, very large selection.  No holds. Set up the software, then use the website to checkout & download a book. Also uses Adobe Digital Editions.

Windows or Mac Computer older than above? 

 
  • Freading & Enki - these use the Adobe Digital Editions software and an older version of ADE is still available for download.  Please install ADE 3 from this page then refer to the directions above.  All other instructions remain the same.
  • Need a different browser? The Internet Explorer (Windows) and Safari (Mac) browser on these older computers may not be able to use current websites properly.  If you find errors, please try either the Mozilla Firefox or Chrome browser.
