The US Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is partnering with Talking Book programs to distribute currency readers to residents that are blind or visually impaired. BEP will provide one iBill® Talking Banknote Identifier to interested Talking Book subscribers. The iBill® is a small electronic device that is able to identify US paper currency and easily fits in your pocket, purse, or on a keychain. State Library of Kansas Talking Book subscribers can reserve a reader by contacting the regional library at 1-800-362-0699 or by email. We will complete the application and mail it in with no other medical documentation required. Please allow up to 6 to 8 weeks for receipt of application and for the device to be delivered.
